Launch of the Young Global Insurance Network (YGIN), the first global network connecting youth to transform insurance

The Spanish Association of Young Insurance Professionals (AJPS) has launched YGIN, Young Global Insurance Network, an international network for young professionals in the insurance sector.

According to the Association itself: “In line with our goal of supporting the career building of the new generations, we are creating a global network of young insurance professionals to connect and share our experiences and knowledge. In other sectors such as IT, entrepreneurship or fashion, there are thousands of international communities. This is not yet the case in the insurance industry, and we want to change this.”

Emmanuel Djengue, who is vice-president of AJPS, leading the project, says that “with this initiative we want to accelerate the impact of young people in the industry to make a difference, cultivate leadership and encourage the transformation of insurance from within”.

YGIN will focus on three key actions:

1. Engage the new generation of insurance in a series of interactive online events featuring some of the most influential global insurance players. ,

2. Connect the network’s members from different countries to create long-lasting and beneficial relationships, enabling all to gain global insights on insurance and career development.

3. Create a blog platform to gather diverse voices from the network’s members on its blog: “Retina: Insurance from a brand-new angle”, hosted on the famous Medium digital content platform.

In addition, to achieve its international expansion, YGIN will appoint a “country lead” in different countries. This person will be the voice of the network locally, engaging local communities into the network’s initiatives and orchestrating global events.

Membership of the network will be open to everyone, without age limit and free of charge.
